EPIT Group Launches Custom IECEx Equipment Certification Course to Support Ashtead Technology

Aberdeen, Scotland – 12 March 2025 – EPIT Group, a leading name in hazardous area industry training, recently completed the delivery of a custom-built IECEx Equipment Certification Guidance course for Ashtead Technology. This tailored program was designed to meet Ashtead Technology’s specific requirements as a provider of subsea technologies and services to a diverse, international client base.

This custom course, crafted in partnership with Ashtead Technology, ensures their team gains in-depth knowledge of IECEx certification standards. The program covers critical areas including IECEx Certification Bodies (Ex CBs), documentation requirements, preparation of equipment for certification and labelling under international standards, and a scenario-based product certification exercise. This IECEx equipment certification training enables Ashtead Technology to meet rigorous compliance standards for their customers, globally.

All of this was super helpful. The instructors were very knowlagable, passionate and well tempered. I failed one of the units but I passed it second time.

An absolutely brilliant training and test facility that made the dreaded "Compex Refresher" course, a far more enjoyable and beneficial experience. From the great training material to the very knowledgeable instructors, it all helped to teach us about the new practices and standards in Compex and I certainly left knowing more than I did when I walk through the door Monday morning.
