EPIT: A Trusted Partner for Specialist Training in Hazardous Environments

EPIT: A Trusted Partner for Specialist Training in
Hazardous Areas

When choosing a training provider for high risk sectors like oil and gas, engineers and technicians working in hazardous and industrial areas need more than just a certificate. They need a partner who understands the challenges of working with explosive atmospheres and hazardous area equipment.

EPIT is that partner. At EPIT, we recognise the varying level of experience among delegates can make it harder for some to understand complex course content. We address these issues head-on, ensuring all delegates receive the attention and support they need to succeed.

Our experienced trainers offer world class, accredited training that goes beyond certification to deliver tangible, measurable skills. What’s more, we provide an exceptional experience that equips delegates for their professional qualifications and boosts their confidence in achieving them. Our comprehensive portfolio includes Ex, ATEX, IECEx and other courses as well as a range of E-learning and bespoke course options.

At the core of EPIT’s success is our exceptional team of trainers. Our trainers don’t just teach; they mentor. Recognising that every delegate comes with a different level of expertise, our trainers adapt their methods to ensure everyone can grasp complex concepts. This personalised approach is especially valuable for engineers tackling advanced topics like hazardous area safety or high voltage systems.

Results That Speak Volumes

The results of this approach are clear. Over the past year, we’ve achieved a 90% pass rate across our courses, a testament to the effectiveness of our training and the dedication of our instructors. Delegates consistently praise the clarity of our teaching, the relevance of our course materials, and the practical knowledge they gain.

But it’s not just about the numbers. Many of our clients return to EPIT for additional training, recommending us to their peers. This word-of-mouth trust has been a significant driver of our growth, with a 20% increase in our customer base year-on-year.

Participants repeatedly report extremely high levels of satisfaction, with many praising the trainers for their expertise and ability to engage, educate, and support. Feedback often highlights that EPIT’s instructors are described as “first class and extremely knowledgeable,” offering “exceptional instruction, comprehensive resources, and practical exercises.”

Customer Excellence

EPIT’s trainers are industry experts who ensure that delegates gain not just a certificate, but concrete knowledge, competence, and confidence to work safely in hazardous environments. Their ultimate aim is to help the delegates become knowledgeable professionals who can work efficiently and safely where lives are at stake.

This level of delegates’ satisfaction is not just about fulfilling a certification requirement – it’s also about the ability to align training with the delegates’ career goals and operational needs. As a result, EPIT’s instructors don’t just deliver training; they help delegates enhance their competence and increase their value to their organisations.

From the initial enquiry to post-course support, EPIT’s onboarding process is seamless. A previous delegate who provided feedback described our tailored guidance as including “exceptional instruction, comprehensive resources, and practical exercises”, further proving our dedication to helping delegates succeed.

Real Value for Employers

For employers, our specialist training and assessment services at EPIT are fully accredited by City & Guilds and CompEx, assisting companies in meeting national, international, and European compliance standards.

Employers recognise that their staff leave EPIT training not just with a certificate, but with practical skills that translate directly into improved competence, confidence, and efficiency on the job. This results in safer, more productive teams who are better equipped to mitigate operational risks and improve overall performance.

A Tailored Training Approach

A key factor in EPIT’s success is their tailored approach to delegate training: our customer-first philosophy ensures that all training is tailored to the unique needs of each delegate and their organisation, with every course meeting the highest standards when it comes to safety and accessibility.

Feedback from previous delegates support this saying that, the trainers delivering the course “showed real enthusiasm to help everyone on the course and give each candidate individual time where required”.

Attention is also paid to adapting course materials to accommodate neurodivergent learners, such as dyslexia, with one delegate praising the trainers for ‘making a course that [they] normally dread more bearable’.

I did compex 01-04. English is not my first language. I got extra support, a bit of extra explonation, extra advice. All of this was super helpful. The instructors were very knowlagable, passionate and well tempered. I failed one of the units but I passed it second time.

I had an excellent experience training with EPIT Aberdeen. The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. The facilities and equipment are top-quality, and the training was delivered in a way that was both practical and engaging. Everything was explained thoroughly, with real-world examples that made the content easy to understand and apply. The staff were friendly and supportive throughout, creating a really positive learning environment. I left feeling confident, well-prepared, and genuinely impressed with the standard of training. Highly recommend EPIT Aberdeen to anyone looking for high-quality, industry-leading courses.

Done the CompEx Ex01-Ex04 with Mike and Dodd, and they were both excellent! They both broke things down and made them easier to understand, as well as being genuinely good people who you can have a normal conversation and laugh with!

An absolutely brilliant training and test facility that made the dreaded "Compex Refresher" course, a far more enjoyable and beneficial experience. From the great training material to the very knowledgeable instructors, it all helped to teach us about the new practices and standards in Compex and I certainly left knowing more than I did when I walk through the door Monday morning. Thanks to the all staff! 5*
